Overview

This opportunity allows early- to mid-career researchers to join the Mo Ibrahim Foundation as a Researcher in London, UK, contributing to governance and policy initiatives in Africa.

Key Responsibilities

Conducting desk-based research and policy analysis.
Collecting, managing, and analyzing data from multiple sources.
Producing data visualizations and evidence-based insights.
Drafting literature reviews and research papers on various topics such as climate change, development finance, security and peacebuilding, democracy and governance, migration, and rule of law.
Supporting the development and calculation of the Ibrahim Index of African Governance (IIAG).
Identifying new governance indicators and data sources.
Monitoring relevant policy developments and events.
Assisting with advocacy and dissemination activities.
Representing the Foundation at meetings and conferences.
Providing editing, fact-checking, and logistical support for major initiatives.

Requirements

A postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
2 to 4 years of research or analytical experience, including internships.
Knowledge of African governance, development policy, and international development.
Experience in data management and quantitative analysis.
Ability to communicate complex research findings clearly.
