About the Opportunity

The Migration Youth & Children Platform (MYCP) is a youth-led global initiative that creates space for children and young people (up to 31 years old) to actively engage in international policy processes, particularly within the United Nations system. Since its founding in 2018, MYCP has played a key role in amplifying youth voices in global migration discussions, contributing to platforms such as the Global Compact on Migration (GCM) and the Global Forum on Migration and Development (GFMD).

Following a period of internal transformation, MYCP is entering a new chapter and is seeking a Global Coordinator to lead its Secretariat. This role is central to the organization’s operations and strategic direction, ensuring that its mission to promote meaningful youth engagement remains at the forefront.

The Global Coordinator will oversee daily operations, manage teams, engage with global partners, and represent MYCP in high-level international spaces. This is a leadership role that combines strategy, operations, and advocacy, making it ideal for candidates with experience in global migration, youth engagement, and multi-stakeholder coordination.

Eligibility

To be considered for the MYCP Global Coordinator role, applicants should meet the following requirements:

• Strong knowledge of global migration advocacy spaces, including GCM, GFMD, and UN processes
• Proven experience in team management, project coordination, and multi-stakeholder initiatives
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Fluency in English (additional UN languages are an advantage)
• Ability to work independently across multiple time zones
• Familiarity with tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and collaborative platforms

Desirable qualifications include lived experience of migration, experience in fundraising or donor relations, and previous involvement in youth-led or global initiatives. Prior experience with MYCP is also an advantage but not mandatory.
