LGA Field Assistant @Malaria Consortium

Overview

The LGA Field Assistant will support the implementation of the SARMAAN II Project, aimed at evaluating the safety and impact of azithromycin mass drug administration to reduce under-five morbidity and mortality in Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of activities at LGA, health facilities, and household levels.
• Ensure proper planning, execution, and monitoring of the Mass Drug Administration (MDA) of Azithromycin.
• Collaborate with LGA teams, health facility supervisors, and community leaders.
• Conduct coordination meetings and report progress to the Program Officer.
• Support the distribution of AZM commodities and engage in training of health facility workers and Community Drug Distributors.
• Document lessons learned and contribute to monitoring and evaluation reports.

Requirements

• Science, Social Science, or Public Health-related qualification with at least two years of field experience.
• Fluency in English, Hausa/Fulani, or other local languages.
• Experience in drug/commodity supply management, M&E, and logistics.
• Proficiency in Kobo Collect, SurveyCTO, and Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences.
