Lived Experience Campaigns Officer @International Association for Suicide Prevention

Overview

This role offers the opportunity to embed the perspective of people with lived and living experience across all aspects of the International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP)'s work while supporting the organisation’s communications and campaigns activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Champion the inclusion of lived experience across IASP’s internal operations and external programmes.
• Advise on the meaningful involvement of people with lived experience.
• Develop guidance and tools to support lived experience integration.
• Build relationships with lived experience networks and partners.
• Support IASP’s policy and advocacy work.
• Contribute a lived experience perspective to policy materials.
• Support engagement with global and regional networks.
• Plan and deliver IASP campaigns.
• Ensure content adheres to safe messaging guidelines.
• Manage IASP’s social media channels and foster inclusive online engagement.

Requirements

• Lived and living experience perspectives in suicide prevention.
• Experience in policy, advocacy, campaigns, or communications work.
• Capacity to maintain personal boundaries while sharing lived experience.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Strong IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office and social media.
• Demonstrated initiative and creativity in problem-solving.
• Commitment to safe and ethical practice.
