The remote consultancy begins on 1 August 2026, spans 82 working days over 28 weeks, and offers an approximate daily rate of USD 350. Applications are open until 25 July 2026.
MAGENTA is a global Social and Behavioural Change (SBC) agency that helps organisations address complex development challenges through behavioural science, research, strategy, and innovative programme design.
The agency partners with:
• United Nations agencies
• International NGOs (INGOs)
• Governments
• Private sector organisations
Its work spans Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean, supporting initiatives that improve health, education, social norms, and other development outcomes for underserved communities.
MAGENTA’s organisational culture emphasises curiosity, transparency, authenticity, and innovation while applying evidence-based approaches to solving real-world problems.
MAGENTA is supporting the launch of a new digital product in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) that applies behavioural science principles to address a defined business challenge.
The selected consultant will guide the product through its complete lifecycle, from early discovery and user research to product development, testing, validation, and scale-up.
Working closely with the Behavioural Science Lead, Technical Lead, and Project Manager, the consultant will translate behavioural insights into practical product requirements that software developers and UX/UI designers can implement.
The consultancy is primarily remote but includes periodic travel to Riyadh for workshops, field research, and key project activities. Additional international travel may also be required, accounting for approximately 30 percent of the assignment.
The Digital Product Manager will contribute across multiple implementation phases.
Responsibilities include:
• Preparing design-thinking workshop materials and discovery methodologies.
• Conducting interviews, field observations, and behavioural research with target users.
• Mapping customer journeys and identifying behavioural barriers and decision-making triggers.
• Applying structured behavioural diagnosis techniques.
• Analysing qualitative findings alongside historical data.
• Developing user personas, audience segments, and evidence-based problem statements.
• Designing measurement frameworks and success metrics.
• Leading structured ideation workshops.
• Developing and testing digital intervention concepts.
• Overseeing pilot implementation and validating behavioural outcomes.
• Supporting product build activities while ensuring behavioural quality assurance.
• Managing scaled pilots and evaluating statistical significance of results.
• Producing comprehensive case studies and programme documentation.
• Participating in regular project meetings and client presentations.
MAGENTA is seeking experienced professionals with strong technical and behavioural expertise.
Applicants should demonstrate:
• Proven experience managing digital products from discovery through launch using Agile methodologies.
• Experience with product roadmaps, backlog management, sprint planning, and delivery management.
• Practical expertise in Behavioural Science (BeSci) or Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) programmes.
• Ability to convert behavioural insights into actionable product specifications.
• Experience collaborating with software engineers, UX/UI designers, and multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Strong understanding of experimentation methods, including A/B testing, test-control methodologies, behavioural metrics, and evidence-based product improvement.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and presentation skills.
Candidates should also possess:
• Fluency in both English and Arabic.
• Experience working within Saudi Arabia or the Gulf region.
• Strong understanding of local cultural and social contexts.
These qualifications will help ensure that the digital product is both culturally appropriate and aligned with user needs in the target market.
The consultancy is divided into five core implementation phases across approximately 82 working days.
The expected schedule includes:
• Phase 0 – Prepare (11 days): Workshop preparation and discovery planning.
• Phase 1 – Empathise and Define (22 days): User research, behavioural diagnosis, audience segmentation, and measurement framework development.
• Phase 2 – Ideate and Prototype (22 days): Product ideation, intervention design, pilot implementation, and validation.
• Phase 3 – Build and Automate (11 days): Behavioural quality assurance during product development.
• Phase 4 – Test, Measure and Refine (16 days): Scaled pilot, statistical analysis, programme evaluation, and case study development.
An additional Phase 5 provides ongoing launch and scaling support as required by the project.
The consultancy follows a hybrid implementation model combining remote work with travel to Saudi Arabia.
Working conditions include:
• Fully remote work during Phases 0, 3, and 4.
• On-site work in Riyadh during Phases 1 and 2.
• Attendance at client review meetings during Phase 4.
• Additional international travel where required.
The assignment is managed through a deliverable-based agreement rather than fixed working hours.
Consultants will receive payments based on completed deliverables and approved timesheets.
Key payment conditions include:
• Approximate daily consultancy rate of USD 350.
• Maximum level of effort capped at 82 working days.
• Monthly invoicing supported by validated timesheets.
• Payments processed after approval by the Project Account Manager.
The consultancy provides an opportunity for experienced digital product professionals to contribute to an innovative behavioural science initiative with international impact. By combining user-centred design, behavioural insights, and digital product development, the selected consultant will help create scalable solutions capable of addressing complex challenges within the Saudi Arabian market while collaborating with multidisciplinary experts across multiple regions.
