The organization is seeking a passionate and purpose-driven Marketing & Communications Intern to help tell their impactful story and support their community-focused initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management
- Develop weekly content calendars
- Manage Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok accounts
- Schedule posts and respond to messages/comments
- Monitor engagement metrics
Content Creation
- Produce reels, TikToks, customer interviews, operator spotlights, and product photography
Community Storytelling
- Visit stores regularly to capture stories of customers, operators, community impact, product launches, and special campaigns
Graphic Design
- Design posters, flyers, WhatsApp graphics, banners, price lists, in-store signage, presentation visuals, and pitch decks
Website & Digital Content
- Update website content, publish blog articles, upload products, improve SEO, and monitor analytics
Email Marketing
- Assist with monthly newsletters, partner updates, campaign emails, and impact stories
Campaign Management
- Support campaigns for store openings, product launches, environmental awareness, and special months/events including Women’s Month, Heritage Month, Mandela Day, and Christmas campaigns
Marketing Analytics
- Track and report social media growth, engagement, reach, website traffic, campaign performance, and customer feedback; provide monthly reports with recommendations
Desired Skills & Qualifications
Skills:
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Photography, videography, and video editing abilities
- Graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite advantageous)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
Qualifications:
- Studying or recently completed studies in Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Studies, or Graphic Design
