National Essay Competition Coordinator @National Emergency Management Agency

Overview

The National Emergency Management Agency is launching the 2026 NEMA National Essay Competition to engage young Nigerians on disaster preparedness and emergency response.

Eligibility

• Secondary school students
• Tertiary institution students
• Members of the National Youth Service Corps Emergency Management Vanguards

Benefits

• Winners in each category will receive 500,000 naira and a trophy
• First runner-up will receive 300,000 naira
• Second runner-up will receive 200,000 naira
• Top ten participants will receive certificates and recognition

How to Apply

Essays must be submitted via email to: nemaessay@nema.gov.ng. Each submission must include:

• Full Name
• Category
• Institutional Details (School or NYSC deployment)

Deadline

The competition is open from April 1, 2026, to April 15, 2026.
