Overview

The Nutrition Program Officer will deliver a 24-month assistance and early recovery intervention in Borno State, focusing on the prevention, detection, and management of malnutrition.

Key Responsibilities

• Support program planning, monitoring, and evaluation activities related to nutrition interventions.
• Provide technical support to field staff and partners in implementing nutrition programs.
• Ensure accurate data collection, reporting, and documentation for all program activities.
• Engage with local communities to raise awareness and promote participation in nutrition programs.
• Identify gaps in program delivery and propose corrective measures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Public Health, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2–3 years experience in nutrition program implementation, ideally in emergency or humanitarian contexts.
• Knowledge of nutrition-specific interventions (CMAM, SAM, MAM).
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in rural and high-risk areas.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
