Overview

The OPEC Fund's Young Professional Development Program (YPDP) is a two-year structured program designed to prepare young professionals from OPEC Fund member countries for careers in global development, offering exposure to various departments and contributing to development initiatives.

Eligibility

National of an OPEC Fund member country
30 years of age or younger at the time of application
Master’s degree or higher from a reputable university
Strong academic performance
Fluency in English; additional language proficiency is an advantage
Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience
Specialization in fields relevant to the OPEC Fund (e.g., Engineering, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, IT, Law, HR)
Ability to work in a global and culturally diverse environment
Understanding of the OPEC Fund’s mandate
Willingness to serve the OPEC Fund for at least two years post-program

Benefits

Participants will receive training, coaching, and mentoring, gain practical work experience through departmental rotations, and access professional networks and development opportunities. Upon successful completion, there is a possibility of an entry-level position offer.
