    The Outdoor Facilitation: Nature & Wilderness Education 2026 is a transformative 7-day residential training designed for facilitators, educators, and changemakers who want to deepen their connection with nature while learning how to guide others through meaningful outdoor experiences.

    Hosted in Hue City, Vietnam, this immersive program goes beyond traditional outdoor education by exploring the concept of the ecological self, where identity, belonging, and responsibility are shaped through direct engagement with the natural world.

    Participants will gain practical tools to facilitate nature-based learning, design outdoor programs, and integrate sustainability principles into their work, making this an ideal opportunity for those passionate about environmental education, leadership, and experiential learning.

    Program Overview

    This intensive journey focuses on developing both personal connection with nature and professional facilitation skills.

    Participants will explore:

    • How individuals form deep and lasting relationships with nature

    • How natural elements such as landscapes and weather can become active teaching partners

    • How to design safe, inclusive, and reflective outdoor learning experiences

    Program Structure and Daily Flow

    The training follows a 7-day, 6-night residential basecamp model, offering a balance between structured learning and flexible adaptation to the natural environment.

    Each day typically includes:

    3. Nature immersion activities and guided exploration

    4. Learning sessions on pedagogy and facilitation

    Certification

    Participants who complete the program will receive a:

    • Certificate of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

    Additional certification pathways include:

    • Certified Outdoor Youth Facilitator (YEP) through mentored practice

    • International Nature & Outdoor Youth Facilitator & Leader (YEP) upon completing additional training and implementation requirements

    Eligibility Criteria

    To participate in this program, applicants must:

    • Be 18 years or older

    • Have an interest in nature facilitation, outdoor learning, or environmental education

    • Be willing to engage in quiet reflection and solo experiences

    • Commit to the full program duration

    • Have basic physical fitness for outdoor activities

    • Be comfortable spending extended time outdoors

    Facilitators

    The program is led by experienced professionals:

    • Dominik Kron – Outdoor guide with experience across Europe and Southeast Asia, specializing in nature-based learning and empowerment

    • Souheang Ly – Outdoor facilitator integrating education, mindfulness, and experiential learning with a focus on sustainability and inclusion

    Group Size

    • Minimum: 6 participants

    • Maximum: 12 participants

    This ensures a personalized and deeply immersive learning experience.

    Safety and Risk Management

    The program prioritizes participant safety through:

    • Collection of medical and emergency information

    • Signed consent forms

    • Certified first-aid facilitators

    • Accident insurance coverage (up to USD 5,000)

    • Site-specific risk assessments

    The basecamp model ensures a low-risk, stable learning environment.
