Overview

This program offers a six-month global Climate Democracy Accelerator designed to support governments and civil society leaders in developing participatory approaches to climate policy, empowering communities to partake in decision-making processes.

Eligibility

Applicants from government institutions, civil society organisations, and non-governmental organisations can apply. It is designed for individuals working in climate policy, community engagement, and environmental governance. While priority is given to applicants from Brazil, Indonesia, India, and Mexico, participants from other regions, particularly Africa, Asia, and Latin America, are also welcome.

Benefits

Financial support of a $10,000 USD implementation grant for each selected participant.
Access to training tools and resources, including mentorship, guidance through the Participation Playbook, online courses, and localised case studies.
Additional awards of up to $15,000 USD for the top five projects in each cohort.
