Overview

This funding opportunity supports artists, creatives, and cultural practitioners while driving job creation within the arts and culture sector in South Africa.

Eligibility

• Individual artists and cultural practitioners
• Registered arts organizations
• Community arts centres

Applicants must be involved in one or more disciplines such as craft, dance, literature, multidisciplinary arts, music, musical theatre, or visual arts. Only one application per individual or organization will be accepted.

Benefits

The PESP 7 program offers funding across three categories:

• Major Art or Culture Projects: Up to R800,000, creating at least 70 job opportunities.
• Medium Scale Projects: Up to R500,000, creating at least 40 job opportunities.
• Other Arts or Culture Projects: Up to R300,000, assessed based on artistic merit.

Projects that promote South African Indigenous art forms and community impact are encouraged.
