    The Nature Conservancy (TNC), one of the world’s most influential environmental organizations, is seeking a highly skilled and mission‑driven professional for the role of Partnership Advisor, Water & Resilience. This full‑time, remote position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to global conservation efforts by shaping strategies, building partnerships, and influencing development finance institutions (DFIs), governments, and corporate actors.

    This role sits within TNC’s Impact Finance & Markets Division, specifically the Corporate Engagement Business Unit, and plays a central part in advancing the organization’s Resilient Freshwater Pathway. The selected candidate will work across global teams, engage with high‑level partners, and support the integration of nature‑based solutions into financial and corporate systems.

    About the Role

    The Partnership Advisor, Water & Resilience will serve as a subject‑matter expert and strategic advisor on complex issues related to water, resilience, and development finance. The role requires working across interdisciplinary teams to influence corporate and public financial institutions toward conservation‑aligned decision‑making.

    Key Functions of the Role

    1. Strategic Leadership and Advisory
      • Advise on strategy development for TNC’s Resilient Freshwater Pathway.
      • Support the creation and implementation of strategies for engaging DFIs and water utilities.
      • Contribute to the development of unified proposals, reports, and strategic documents across TNC’s global network.
    2. Partnership Development and Management
      • Build and maintain relationships with governments, corporations, DFIs, NGOs, and community partners.
      • Serve as a relationship manager for specific institutions.
      • Represent TNC in global collaborations such as the International Water Association and WaterWorx/Blue Deal.
    3. Project and Program Management
      • Lead multiple projects simultaneously within a complex, matrixed organizational structure.
      • Manage DFI trainings and engagements, including potential subject‑matter expert roles.
      • Participate in negotiations for high‑profile or sensitive agreements.
    4. Research, Analysis, and Strategic Planning
      • Conduct research to inform corporate engagement and resilient watershed strategies.
      • Contribute to brainstorming, planning, and decision‑making processes.
      • Track progress toward Resilient Watersheds Intermediate Results.
    5. Communications and Representation
      • Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, memos, concept notes, and reports.
      • Represent TNC at internal and external events, including major global gatherings such as Stockholm World Water Week.
      • Build awareness of TNC’s water‑related work among internal and external stakeholders.
    6. Fundraising and Financial Management
      • Develop and implement multi‑year fundraising strategies.
      • Manage budgets, negotiate with vendors, and support financial planning.
      • Help meet fundraising targets aligned with program goals.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in political science, environmental policy, management, or a related field.
    • At least 5 years of experience in development finance institutions, government relations, or the corporate sector.
    • Fluency in English.
    • Strong analytical and project management skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement complex projects in unstructured environments.
    • Proven communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
    • Experience managing multiple projects and implementing strategic program goals.

    Desired Qualifications

    • Multilingual abilities, especially French.
    • Experience presenting to management‑level corporate audiences.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, diplomacy, and the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
    • Experience in drought, flooding, disaster risk management, or private financial institutions.

    Salary Information

    • For U.S. applicants:
      • Annual base salary range: $95,000 – $124,300, depending on location, experience, and qualifications.
    • For applicants outside the U.S.:
      • Compensation will be in local currency and aligned with local labor markets.
      • Final pay will depend on qualifications, skills, and experience.
