Overview

Applications are open for the PASET Regional Scholarship and Innovation Fund (RSIF) PhD Scholarship 2021, supporting 3-4 year doctoral training in Applied Sciences, Engineering, and Technology in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Eligibility

• Master's Degree in a related field, completed less than six years before July 31, 2021.
• Meet the admission requirements of the African Host University.
• Citizen of a Sub-Saharan African country.
• Willing to enroll full-time in a PhD program at an African Host University for the 2021-2022 academic year.
• Willing to undertake 6-24 months of 'sandwich' training at an international partner institution.
• Research goals aligned with RSIF Priority Thematic Areas (ICT, Food Security/Agri-business, Minerals/Mining/Materials Engineering, Energy, Climate Change) and contributing to Africa's development.
• Priority given to women, existing young academic faculty without a PhD, and applicants aged 35 and below.
