    The organization has offices in Boston, Washington D.C., and Brussels, with staff working virtually worldwide.

    Role Overview

    The Policy Associate, Cross-Regional Advocacy, will support CATF’s efforts to foster international partnerships and policies that promote clean technology deployment globally.

    The role involves research, thought leadership, strategy development, stakeholder engagement, and advocacy at international forums, working closely with regional teams across the U.S., Europe, Middle East, and Africa.

    Key Responsibilities

    Research and Analysis

    • Conduct and oversee policy and market assessments on topics such as diffusion, geopolitics, energy markets, infrastructure finance, and security.

    Cross-Regional Advocacy

    • Collaborate with regional teams to advance international policy priorities through stakeholder engagement and policymaker education.
    • Leverage networks across civil society, NGOs, the private sector, and relevant experts.

    Strategy Development

    • Evaluate policy opportunities and trends for advocacy at multilateral and interregional levels.
    • Support the development and execution of advocacy strategies in partnership with senior leadership.

    Communications and Engagement

    • Coordinate internal and external advocacy activities, including stakeholder meetings.
    • Represent CATF publicly through media, forums, blogs, reports, and white papers.

    Operational Support

    • Assist with program coordination, planning external events, and supporting fundraising efforts including grant writing and funder communications.

    Skills and Qualifications

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree required; 3+ years of experience in energy/climate policy or related fields (advanced degrees may substitute).
    • Proven expertise in energy, climate policy, international relations, or markets.

    Skills

    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to work effectively with international partners and diverse stakeholders.
    • A proactive self-starter committed to high-quality work.

    Compensation and Benefits

    • Salary range: US $85,000 – $106,000 annually, depending on experience and skills.
    • Location: Fully remote, flexible worldwide.
