Potatoes SA Bursaries Available for 2027

Potatoes South Africa (Potatoes SA) is inviting eligible South African students to apply for its 2027 Bursary Programme.

Only four (4) bursaries will be awarded for the 2027 academic year, making this a highly competitive opportunity.

About the Potatoes SA Bursary

The Potatoes SA Bursary Programme aims to develop skilled professionals who will contribute to the advancement of South Africa’s potato industry through education, innovation, and research.

Funding is available for students studying fields directly related to potato production, agricultural development, and associated research disciplines.

Fields of Study Supported

Applicants must be enrolled in one of the following or related fields:

• Plant Production
• Crop Production
• Soil Science
• Agricultural Economics
• Agronomy
• Potato-related Research Projects
• Other potato-relevant agricultural studies

Who Can Apply?

Applications are open to:

• South African citizens
• Undergraduate students from second year of study onwards
• BTech students
• Honours students
• Master’s students
• PhD students
