CDP has experienced exponential growth over our 15-year history, granting over $123 million to more than 676 nonprofits. As CDP’s positioning and visibility continue to expand, so does the need for additional capacity. Currently, the international funds team is comprised of one program officer and two program managers who are actively managing 120+ open grants with about $10 million available for mid- to long-term recovery grantmaking. Additional team capacity is needed to effectively manage our growing portfolio.
As part of the fund management and coalition building team (FMCB), the program associate, international funds will play an integral role in supporting the Center for Disaster Philanthropy’s (CDP) international fund management efforts. This position assists the program officer for international funds with data collection, analysis for fund design and implementation, and administrative tasks related to fund management. Additionally, the program associate will contribute to the success of the international funds team by aiding program managers in grantmaking activities and fostering relationships with grantee partners.
As a fully remote workforce, CDP prioritizes employee engagement and relationship building in service of a collaborative culture rooted in equity. To this end, in-person team retreats are scheduled throughout the year in different regions of the U.S. This role will be expected to attend 2-3 retreats per year, which average 3-5 days of travel.
