Overview

This position offers a senior-level opportunity to lead WFP’s Food Systems and Climate Resilience portfolio, providing strategic direction and technical leadership to integrate climate resilience, nutrition, and sustainable agriculture into national food systems.

Key Responsibilities

Lead a multidisciplinary team in the design and implementation of integrated food systems programmes.
Translate global WFP policies into national-level strategies.
Align programmes with national development frameworks.
Manage operational research and learning initiatives.
Support fundraising for climate and food systems programmes.
Supervise and mentor a team of approximately 13 staff.
Contribute to crisis response readiness.

Requirements

Advanced university degree in International Affairs, Economics, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Nutrition, or Social Sciences.
5+ years of relevant professional experience in climate-smart agriculture, food systems, or nutrition.
Fluency in English; knowledge of Russian or Kyrgyz is advantageous.
