    🧭 What This Job Really Is

    This role is about working directly with vulnerable communities (IDPs, women, children, etc.) to:

    • Identify protection risks (violence, abuse, neglect)
    • Provide information and support
    • Refer people to services (health, GBV, legal, psychosocial)
    • Ensure aid is delivered safely and respectfully

    👉 It’s a frontline humanitarian job, not an office role.

    🔑 Key Responsibilities (Simplified)

    👥 Community Engagement

    • Visit households and communities
    • Run awareness sessions (GBV, rights, services)
    • Organize meetings and group discussions

    📊 Protection Monitoring

    • Collect data (surveys, interviews, FGDs)
    • Identify risks and report issues

    🔗 Referrals & Support

    • Help vulnerable individuals access services
    • Maintain confidentiality and safety

    🧾 Reporting

    • Record field data (Kobo, forms)
    • Submit weekly/monthly reports

    🎯 Requirements

    ✅ Must-Have

    • Degree in:
      • Social Sciences
      • Law / Psychology / Social Work
    • 1–2 years experience (NGO or community work)
    • Fluent in English + Hausa

    ⭐ Strong Advantage

    • Experience in:
      • Protection / GBV / humanitarian work
    • Knowledge of local languages (Kanuri, Gwoza dialect)
    • Familiarity with data collection tools (Kobo)
