CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: REGIONAL TRAINING OF TRAINERS ON GENDER-SENSITIVE DIGITAL TRADE
The Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) is inviting applications from women and youth-led Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across its Member States to participate in a high-impact Regional Training of Trainers (ToT) under the HDMI Project.
This initiative is designed to develop Gender Champions who will drive inclusive digital trade practices and empower others within their communities and business networks.
Participants will benefit from hands-on, practical training focused on strengthening their capacity to compete and thrive in the digital economy. Key areas of learning include:
• Digital finance and financial inclusion
• E-commerce strategies and online business growth
• Digital marketing and brand positioning
• Business management and sustainability
• Online safety and cybersecurity awareness
• Accessing opportunities under AfCFTA and global markets
Beyond technical knowledge, this training aims to build a network of skilled trainers who will cascade knowledge, promote gender-sensitive approaches, and support the growth of inclusive digital ecosystems across the region.
This is a valuable opportunity for entrepreneurs and business leaders who are passionate about leveraging digital tools, expanding market access, and contributing to economic empowerment within their communities.
