    Overview

    This opportunity offers the role of Research Assistant to support day-to-day research activities, knowledge mobilization, and project management at the Knowledge Institute on Child and Youth Mental Health and Addictions.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist with research and knowledge mobilization activities.
    • Conduct literature searches, summarizations, and syntheses of findings.
    • Create, update, and verify reference lists and bibliographies.
    • Maintain research and project files.
    • Prepare reports and contribute to academic and plain language resources.
    • Collaborate with specialists to verify evidence-based practices.
    • Develop knowledge products such as standards, reviews, and infographics.
    • Support survey design, distribution, and analysis.
    • Assist in database management for quantitative and qualitative data.
    • Perform basic statistical and qualitative analyses.
    • Contribute to posters and public presentations.
    • Facilitate engagement sessions with youth and family advisories.
    • Support external partner meetings and presentations.
    • Attend team meetings and perform other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    • College Diploma or University Degree in psychology or a related field.
    • Minimum 1-2 years experience as a Research Assistant.
    • 1-3 years relevant research experience in child and youth mental health or addictions.
    • Understanding of research design, methods, and procedures.
    • Data management and statistical software experience.
    • Experience in project reporting, publication, and clear language summaries.
    • Strong organizational, project management, and facilitation skills.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
    • Bilingual in English and French.
    • Criminal Record Check (CRC).
