The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has announced applications for its Research & Partnerships Internship within the Human Development Report Office (HDRO), offering students and recent graduates an opportunity to contribute to one of the world’s most influential development research initiatives.
Based in New York, United States, with the option to work remotely, the three-month internship will support the preparation of the 2026 Human Development Report while providing hands-on experience in research, data analysis, policy development, and international development.

The Human Development Report Office serves as UNDP’s independent research unit dedicated to advancing human development worldwide. Through evidence-based research, policy advocacy, and innovative analysis, HDRO works to expand opportunities, choices, and freedoms for people around the globe.

The 2026 Human Development Report explores the relationship between planetary systems and human development, examining how environmental changes affect health, education, livelihoods, and overall well-being.
