The Resilient Cities Network (R-Cities) is a global nonprofit supporting cities across more than 40 countries to build resilience against 21st-century challenges.
Building on a decade of work with The Rockefeller Foundation, R-Cities partners with governments, communities, and funders to enhance climate resilience, equity, and sustainability through innovative programs.
The organization operates through a US 501(c)(3) and a Netherlands-based Stichting.
The Operations & Finance Team ensures financial stewardship, operational support, compliance, and infrastructure across the organization.
The team is strengthening internal finance functions to support informed decision-making and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
Reporting to the Lead – Finance (or Co-Managing Director – Programs & Operations until the appointment), the Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, timely month-end and year-end closes, and high-quality reporting across Resilient Cities Network‘s global entities.
This role offers a unique opportunity to build the in-house finance function from the ground up.
This role requires flexibility to work across time zones, occasional international travel for audits and collaborations, and the ability to operate independently within a dynamic, global environment.
