Overview

The Road to Research Scholarship at Macquarie University offers an opportunity for students to undertake a Master of Research (MRes) while receiving financial support to build a strong foundation for a future research career.

Eligibility

The scholarship is open to students who meet the eligibility requirements for the Master of Research program and are prepared to begin their studies in July 2026. Applicants must:

• Be eligible for admission into the Master of Research program
• Meet English language requirements
• Be enrolled as a full-time student
• Be onshore in Australia at the time of application
• Intend to live in Sydney during the program
• Have or be able to secure academic supervision for their research project

International applicants must hold a valid visa that allows them to study full-time in Australia.

Benefits

The Road to Research Scholarship provides financial support, including:

• A tuition fee offset for the duration of the program (up to one year)
• A living stipend of approximately AUD $39,700 per year
