The Chris Hani District Municipality has opened applications for 300 Security Guard positions under the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP), creating temporary employment opportunities for qualified residents across the district.
The programme offers a six-month contract with a monthly stipend of R5,895, providing work experience and income support for unemployed individuals with security qualifications and relevant experience. Applications close on 30 June 2026.
The EPWP Security Guards Programme aims to strengthen security services at municipal facilities while creating employment opportunities for local communities.
