Overview

This role offers the opportunity to lead high-profile partnerships aimed at enhancing agricultural innovation and access for smallholder farmers across Africa and low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).

Key Responsibilities

Identifying and sourcing external agricultural innovations for LMIC adaptation.
Conducting commercial and technical due diligence on emerging technologies.
Structuring and negotiating multi-party agreements with global and regional partners.
Designing incentive mechanisms such as adoption-linked payments and risk-sharing models.
Managing licensing agreements and market access partnerships.
Coordinating cross-functional teams including legal, finance, and program strategy units.
Ensuring alignment between private-sector engagement and development outcomes.

Requirements

At least 12 years of experience in business development or related fields.
Bachelor’s degree required, with advanced degrees preferred.
Strong experience in deal structuring and negotiation.
Background in agriculture, livestock, or development sectors preferred.
Experience working in LMIC markets, especially in Africa.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
