Overview
Together for Girls (TfG) is hiring a Senior Manager, Safeguarding to lead global safeguarding initiatives in advocacy and movement-building.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct safeguarding risk assessments for global events and initiatives
- Design and implement context-specific safety protocols
- Ensure trauma-informed and dignity-centered practices are integrated
- Manage crisis response and escalation processes
- Support consent practices and ethical storytelling
- Design and deliver safeguarding and trauma-informed training programs
- Develop practical toolkits and guidance for staff and partners
- Collaborate with teams to integrate safeguarding into project design
- Manage safeguarding-related budgets and resources
- Build a global network of psychosocial support providers
Requirements
- Degree in psychology, social work, public health, or related field
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in safeguarding, trauma support, or advocacy
- Experience working with individuals with lived experience of violence
- Strong understanding of ethical storytelling and consent practices
- Fluency in English
- Preferred: Additional language skills (Spanish and/or French)
- Experience in global, cross-cultural environments
- Strong crisis management and decision-making skills
- High emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity
