Overview

This position offers the opportunity to lead GiveWell's grantmaking, taking primary responsibility for a significant grantmaking portfolio, setting its strategy, and determining funding allocations that can influence the distribution of hundreds of millions of dollars.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and lead a rigorous grantmaking portfolio.
• Conduct thorough reviews of empirical evidence and cost-effectiveness modeling.
• Maintain strong relationships with grantees and engage with subject matter experts.
• Communicate externally about GiveWell's work.
• Mentor and advise team members.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of professional experience in related roles.
• Experience with evidence-based decision-making under uncertainty.
• Strong track record in funding, building, or scaling initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience in engaging with diverse stakeholders.
