Position Overview

Avaaz seeks a Senior Writer (Fundraising) to craft compelling digital appeals that convert urgent global issues into actionable support.

This remote role involves creating persuasive emails and communications that drive donations, support campaign goals, and foster long-term member engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Translate campaign objectives into compelling calls to action.
Write and refine fundraising emails, subject lines, and campaign messaging for a global audience.
Collaborate on A/B testing, analyze results, and optimize messaging strategies.

Draft onboarding journeys, member updates, and impact reports.
Respond swiftly to global events, transforming them into fundraising opportunities.
Support broader fundraising and messaging strategies.
Provide feedback to improve team output and maintain high-quality standards.

Required Skills and Experience

Minimum of 5 years in copywriting, journalism, campaigning, or fundraising communication.
Proven success in writing that encourages donations, sign-ups, or mobilization.
Strong understanding of digital marketing tools and practices.
Experience working in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
Excellent command of written and spoken English.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: €57,000 – €77,000 (based on location and experience).
5 weeks paid vacation + 10 paid holidays.
Up to €2,500 annually for training and development.
Up to €1,250 annually for language learning.
Workspace support for home office or co-working expenses.
