The Senior Writer, Proposals & Reports role at One Acre Fund provides an opportunity for experienced professionals in grant writing and project management to contribute to agricultural development across Africa.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop compelling, data-driven grant proposals and donor reports.
• Tailor content to align with donor priorities and programme outcomes.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather insights and validate content.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of proposal and reporting projects.
• Coordinate across multiple stakeholders, including field, finance, and fundraising teams.
• Manage timelines, deliverables, and quality control processes.
• Act as a deputy to the Public Fundraising Team Lead.
• Conduct targeted research on donors and funding mechanisms.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of professional experience.
• At least 3+ years in grant writing or technical proposal development.
• Experience working with bilateral and multilateral donors.
• Strong ability to simplify complex ideas into clear narratives.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
