    Overview

    The Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) aims to provide PhD education in Singapore, foster global links, and advance research careers through a collaboration between A*STAR, NTU, NUS, and SUTD.

    Eligibility

    • Open to international graduates with a passion for research and excellent academic results.
    • Requires good written and spoken English skills.
    • Requires good recommendation reports from academic referees.

    Benefits

    • Support for up to 4 years of PhD studies.
    • Includes tuition fees.
    • Monthly stipend of S$2,000, increasing to S$2,500 after passing the Qualifying Examination.
    • One-time airfare grant of up to S$1,500.
    • One-time settling-in allowance of S$1,000.

    How to Apply

    1. Browse PhD Research Projects on the SINGA website.

    2. Prepare required documents: Passport, recent passport-sized photo. All documents must be submitted online; no hard copies should be mailed.

    3. Submit academic transcripts (English translation required), Bachelor’s/Master’s degree certificates (or certification letter if not yet conferred), and ensure 2 recommendation reports are submitted online by referees.

    Optional documents include GRE, IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, or GATE results, though universities may require them for admission.

    Deadline

    June 1, 2020 (23:59 GMT+8 Singapore time) for the January 2021 intake.
