    Overview

    SOLIDAR is seeking to hire two Policy & Research Fellows and two Project Fellows for its Brussels office. These are full-time, paid traineeships offering practical experience in EU policy, advocacy, research, and project management.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Policy & Research Fellows: Monitor EU policy developments, conduct research (including the Social Rights Monitor), draft advocacy materials, engage with stakeholders, attend events, and support project deliverables.
    • Project Fellows: Support project management, organize events, assist with communication and advocacy materials, draft policy documents, attend meetings, and handle administrative tasks.

    Requirements

    • Academic background or work experience in political science, European affairs, social studies, law, economics, project management, communication, or related fields.
    • Knowledge of civil society organizations and EU institutions/policies.
    • Excellent written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
    • Proven research, analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
    • Interest in activism, advocacy, policy research, or social justice initiatives.
    • Candidates must have the legal right to work in Belgium.
