GOGLA is currently inviting applications for the Strategy & Programmes Representation Internship, a paid short-term opportunity designed for individuals who are eager to gain hands-on experience in the renewable energy and development sector.

This 12-month internship offers a unique platform for candidates to contribute to impactful programs while developing valuable professional skills in a dynamic and international work environment.

The organization is seeking a highly motivated individual with strong written communication skills and solid analytical capacity. The selected candidate will play a key role in supporting the team’s broader financial and technical management of Productive Uses of Renewable Energy (PURE) programmes across Africa. These programmes aim to enhance economic productivity through clean energy solutions, particularly in underserved and off-grid communities.

The internship will involve working across multiple African markets, with a primary focus on Nigeria, Mozambique, Kenya, and Uganda. This exposure provides an excellent opportunity for the intern to understand regional energy challenges, policy landscapes, and innovative solutions that drive sustainable development. The successful candidate will assist in programme coordination, research, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and general operational support to ensure the smooth execution of ongoing projects.

The position is based in Lagos, Nigeria, and applicants must demonstrate legal eligibility to work in Nigeria. This makes it especially suitable for recent graduates or early-career professionals who are passionate about renewable energy, sustainability, and development work within the African context.

Beyond technical responsibilities, the internship also offers a chance to build professional networks, collaborate with experienced experts, and gain insight into high-level strategic programme implementation. The intern will contribute to meaningful initiatives that promote energy access and economic empowerment, aligning with global sustainable development goals.

Candidates who are detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working both independently and within a team will thrive in this role. The experience gained from this internship can serve as a strong foundation for future career opportunities in the energy, development, or policy sectors.

Interested applicants are encouraged to submit their applications before the deadline. All applications must be completed on or before 15 July, and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for further consideration.
