The Asia Pacific Forum on Women, Law and Development (APWLD) is inviting applications from women in all their diversities, including those from minority and marginalised communities, for the position of Programme Associate for the Labour and Migration Programmes.

The successful candidate will join APWLD’s Secretariat and work alongside its diverse membership to promote women’s human rights, strengthen feminist movements, and support collective action for systemic change.

About the Opportunity

APWLD is seeking a committed Programme Associate who believes in the power of people-led movements to create meaningful social transformation.

The selected applicant will contribute to programmes focused on:

Key Focus Areas of the Role

The Programme Associate will support APWLD’s Labour and Migration programmes through activities that strengthen advocacy, organising, and movement-building efforts.

Responsibilities may include:

Supporting Women’s Human Rights Advocacy

The successful candidate will contribute to initiatives that:

• Advance women’s rights across the Asia-Pacific region.
• Support feminist approaches to social and economic justice.
• Promote policies that protect women workers and migrants.
• Strengthen advocacy efforts targeting systemic inequalities.

Strengthening Grassroots Women’s Movements

The role will focus on supporting grassroots communities by:

• Building the capacity and leadership of women activists.
• Supporting feminist organisations and networks.
• Encouraging collaboration among different social movements.
• Amplifying the voices of women from marginalised communities.

Labour and Migration Programme Support

The Programme Associate will contribute to work addressing challenges faced by women in labour and migration contexts, including:
