Overview

The Thought Leadership and Strategic Engagement Internship 2026 at UNICEF offers a unique opportunity for graduate students and recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in global development, policy, and communications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop internal knowledge platforms, including supporting a journal or field-notes series capturing field insights.
• Assist with staff working papers and analytical publications.
• Help organize internal engagement initiatives such as learning sessions.
• Draft and manage LinkedIn content for leadership.
• Support internal and external newsletters.
• Explore digital platforms like Instagram and WhatsApp.
• Develop messaging materials and talking points.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in or have recently completed a graduate degree (within the past year).
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Demonstrated organizational and project management ability.
• Interest in global development, policy, or communications.
• Analytical thinking and research ability (desirable).
• Experience with digital platforms or content management (desirable).
• Ability to work in multicultural environments (desirable).
• Proficiency in English (additional UN languages are an advantage) (desirable).
