Overview

The UAPS/AIR P3 Africa Fellowship Cohort 3 offers African doctoral researchers an initiative to strengthen population and health research capacity across Africa through research funding, mentorship, and intensive training.

Eligibility

Be dues-paying Student Members of UAPS in good standing
Be citizens of an African country
Be currently based and working in Africa
Hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field
Be enrolled in a doctoral programme with coursework completed

Benefits

USD 10,000 research grant funding, disbursed in two phases:

First tranche: USD 5,000 after the training workshop
Second tranche: USD 5,000 after approval of the mid-term report

Participate in a five-day residential training workshop on research and academic development covering various topics.
12-month structured mentorship programme with expert mentors.
