Uganda Scholarship Applications Open for 2026/27: TEST for Africa Announces Deadline for Financial Aid ·Unknown

Ugandan students seeking financial support for higher education have an opportunity to apply for the 2026/27 TEST for Uganda Scholarship, with applications closing on 14 August 2026.

The Transforming Education Through Scholarships (TEST) for Africa programme has officially opened applications for its 2026/27 Uganda Scholarship Programme, offering financial assistance to eligible students pursuing higher education in Uganda.

According to the scholarship announcement, applicants can now download both the application form and detailed eligibility guidelines from the TEST for Africa website. The organisation has encouraged prospective applicants to carefully review the guidance notes before completing their submissions.

The deadline for all scholarship applications is Friday, 14 August 2026.

Successful Applicants to Be Announced in September

TEST for Uganda said successful applicants will receive notification by email and through their respective educational institutions on or before Monday, 28 September 2026.

Due to the high number of applications received each year, the organisation noted that it will not contact unsuccessful applicants individually. Students who do not receive communication by the notification date should consider their application unsuccessful but are encouraged to apply again during the next application cycle.

Scholarship Renewal Not Automatic

The organisation also reminded current beneficiaries that scholarships are not automatically renewed each academic year.

Students already receiving TEST for Uganda scholarships must submit a renewal application annually, demonstrating satisfactory academic progress while undergoing a fresh assessment of their financial need. Renewal applications follow the same submission process as new applications.

No Application Fees Charged

TEST for Uganda has issued a strong warning against scholarship fraud, emphasising that the application process is completely free of charge.

The organisation stated that:

• Scholarship application forms can be downloaded free of charge.
• No application or processing fees are required.
• TEST does not work with any individual or organisation that charges applicants for scholarships.
• Applicants should not pay anyone to assist with completing application forms, as doing so will result in disqualification.

The warning is intended to protect prospective students from fraudulent individuals or organisations claiming to offer assistance in exchange for payment.

The TEST for Uganda Scholarship Programme forms part of TEST for Africa’s broader mission to expand access to education by supporting academically capable students who face financial barriers to pursuing higher education.

The scholarship programme continues to assist students across several African countries, helping beneficiaries remain enrolled in their studies while reducing the financial burden associated with tertiary education.

Prospective applicants are encouraged to download the eligibility guidelines, complete the official application form accurately, and submit all required documentation before the 14 August 2026 closing date.

Students who meet the programme’s eligibility requirements are advised to apply early to ensure their applications are received before the deadline.
