🧭 ROLE OVERVIEW
As an Operations Officer, you will serve as a strategic business partner, supporting efficient and effective delivery of programmes through strong operational systems. You will provide risk-informed analysis, technical support, and operational guidance to ensure optimal use of resources and achievement of organizational goals.
This role is critical in strengthening internal systems, improving operational efficiency, and supporting programme teams in delivering results for children in complex and humanitarian contexts.
🛠️ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support implementation of operational strategies and systems
• Manage financial planning, budgeting, and reporting processes
• Strengthen risk management and internal control mechanisms
• Oversee administration, logistics, supply chain, and ICT support
• Promote value for money (VfM) in resource utilization
• Support human resource strategies and workforce planning
• Build and maintain strong internal and external partnerships
🎓 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, Supply Chain, HR, IT, Project Management, or related field
• Minimum of 2 years relevant professional experience in operations management
• Experience in finance, logistics, administration, or HR functions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)
🌟 DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
• Knowledge of another UN language (French, Arabic, Spanish, Chinese, or Russian) or a local language
• Familiarity with ERP systems and IPSAS standards
• Experience in international organizations or large institutions
• Experience in fragile or humanitarian settings
