Overview

The Nigerian National Committee for the United World Colleges (UWC) is offering a limited number of need-based scholarships and fee-paying places for Nigerian students to study for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Certificate. The program aims to bring together outstanding students who wish to become change-makers, regardless of their background.

Eligibility

Candidates must have demonstrated outstanding academic ability and obtained the Senior School Certificate (SSC/GCE ‘O’ Levels) or recognized equivalent.
Exceptional students in SS3 may apply based on their continuous assessment.
Candidates must be between 16 and 17 years old.
An essay and principal’s recommendation are required.

Benefits

Scholarship awards may partially cover tuition and accommodation.
Parents/Guardians may be responsible for flight tickets, pocket money, health insurance, and clothing.

How to Apply

An application fee of N10,000 is required, with a reduced fee of N1,000 for public school nominees. Payment can be made by Bank Draft or via the Flutterwave Payment Gateway on the website. Application forms can be downloaded from the website or purchased/submitted at designated centers in Abuja or Port Harcourt. Applications can also be submitted via email or online.
