🎯 Job Purpose

The Project Officer will support health, nutrition, and linkage services within AMAC, FCT. The role involves program implementation, community engagement, technical support, and ensuring effective service delivery for vulnerable populations—especially children and adolescents living with HIV (CALHIV).

🔧 Key Responsibilities

🏥 Health

• Develop individualized care plans for CALHIV
• Deliver health education and caregiver support
• Monitor adherence to ART treatment and clinic visits
• Provide psychosocial support and address stigma
• Conduct home visits and follow-ups
• Facilitate participation in adolescent support groups (e.g., OTZ)

🥗 Nutrition

• Conduct nutritional assessments and monitoring
• Link beneficiaries to nutrition and health programs
• Establish Infant & Young Child Feeding (IYCF) support groups
• Deliver WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene) services
• Provide food security training and referrals

🔗 Linkage & Referral

• Coordinate HIV testing, referrals, and treatment linkage
• Ensure same-day linkage to care for identified clients
• Track patient outcomes across community and facilities
• Strengthen referral systems and follow-up processes
• Support healthcare workers and community stakeholders
• Maintain accurate data and reporting systems

🎓 Requirements

• Minimum of 2–4 years experience in public health or NGO roles
• Strong background in HIV/AIDS programs, community health, or nutrition
• Excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills
• Experience in data collection, monitoring & evaluation
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel
