    Role Summary

    The Venue Staff (Invigilator) will support the smooth and secure delivery of examinations by ensuring all test-day procedures, security protocols, and customer service standards are strictly followed.

    Key Responsibilities

    Exam Administration & Compliance

    • Report to assigned test venues on time and follow all exam procedures
    • Invigilate exams in line with British Council and exam board standards
    • Monitor candidates to prevent malpractice or violations
    • Ensure all exam materials are handled securely and accounted for
    • Complete required reports, logs, and documentation accurately

    Customer Support

    • Guide candidates and manage exam-day flow efficiently
    • Conduct identity verification and entry/exit procedures
    • Respond to candidate inquiries professionally
    • Support special arrangements where required

    Safety & Standards

    • Adhere to policies on Data Protection, Child Protection, Health & Safety, Equal Opportunity, and Anti-Fraud
    • Report incidents, irregularities, or emergencies promptly
    • Ensure candidate wellbeing throughout the examination process

    Training & Development

    • Attend all mandatory training sessions and briefings
    • Complete required modules including safeguarding, identity checks, and compliance training
    • Opportunities for experienced staff to progress into supervisory roles

    Requirements

    • Strong attention to detail and high level of integrity
    • Ability to remain alert and vigilant during examinations
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills
    • Access to personal internet and email for communication
    • Willingness to work flexible hours (including weekends)
    • Optional willingness to travel for assignments (in some cases)
