The Women in Economics Initiative (WiE Index) is inviting applications for Volunteer Researchers to support the development of the WiE Index 2026. This remote opportunity is ideal for individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in data analysis, research, and policy-relevant reporting within the field of economics.

Key Responsibilities

Collecting, cleaning, and validating data on women’s representation in economics across sectors
Analyzing datasets and creating visualizations using tools such as STATA and Excel
Supporting the drafting and proofreading of the final WiE Index 2026 report
Assisting in refining research methodologies and developing automated data tools

Requirements

Strong written communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Interest or experience in empirical research
Interest in economics and gender equality issues
High-level English proficiency (C1 or above)
