Overview

The WASH Officer at Global Village Healthcare Initiative for Africa (GHIV Africa) will support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of water, sanitation, and hygiene activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the WASH Specialist in planning, organizing, and implementing WASH projects.
• Ensure WASH projects meet technical standards and are delivered on time.
• Supervise field activities and support community engagement.
• Contribute to reporting, data collection, and capacity-building efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Health, Water Resources Management, or related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in WASH program implementation.
• Strong technical knowledge of water supply, sanitation design, and hygiene promotion.
• Essential computer skills in Microsoft Office and experience in Electronic Data Collection.
• Desirable skills include experience with AutoCAD, GIS, and familiarity with WASH data tools.
• Strong interpersonal, coordination, and leadership skills.

Benefits
