Overview

The West Africa Democracy Fund (WADF) 2026 invites eligible organisations to apply for funding aimed at strengthening democratic governance across West Africa.

Eligibility

• Organisations must be legally registered and operating in eligible countries or at a regional level.
• Demonstrate experience in governance, democracy, or civic engagement.
• Have managed budgets similar to the requested funding level.
• Show proven capacity to lead projects or consortiums.

Benefits

• Funding available in three categories: Small grants (minimum of $50,000), Medium grants (up to $250,000), Large grants (up to $500,000).
• Project duration: 12 to 24 months.
