Overview
WINGS is seeking a Policy and Advocacy Coordinator to support the development and implementation of its global policy agenda. This remote role involves analytical research, strategic coordination, and stakeholder engagement to strengthen WINGS' position as a leading voice in philanthropy policy.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of WINGS’ policy and advocacy strategy.
- Monitor and analyze global policy and regulatory trends affecting philanthropy and development finance.
- Conduct qualitative and desk-based research to inform advocacy priorities.
- Translate research findings into clear policy recommendations and advocacy messages.
- Provide operational coordination for collective advocacy initiatives across WINGS members.
- Support stakeholder mapping and relationship management across regions.
- Assist engagement with policymakers, government agencies, and multilateral institutions.
- Organize advocacy-related events, consultations, and convenings (virtual and in-person).
- Prepare briefing materials for policy forums and high-level dialogues.
- Represent WINGS in external meetings as delegated.
- Support capacity-building initiatives to strengthen members’ advocacy skills.
- Coordinate research outputs across WINGS teams.
- Translate technical and policy concepts into accessible insights.
- Contribute to documentation of advocacy outcomes and lessons learned.
- Ensure policy and advocacy priorities are integrated across programmes and communications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Government, Economics, International Relations, International Development, or related field.
- 6–9 years of relevant experience in fiscal public policy, development finance, philanthropy or civil society policy, or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience monitoring and analyzing policy or regulatory developments.
- Proven ability to translate research findings into strategic recommendations.
- Experience engaging in donor-related policy, civil society advocacy, or development cooperation.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Ability to synthesize complex global policy trends into clear insights.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, international environment.
- Cultural awareness and global mindset.
- Fluency in English (additional languages are an asset).

Benefits
Compensation ranges between USD 30,000 and 40,000 per year, adjusted by location and experience.
