Overview
The Words Without Borders has announced applications for its 2026–27 Education Fellowship, a part-time, remote opportunity designed for early-career professionals interested in international literature, education, curriculum development, and literary programming.
Key Responsibilities
- Uploading and publishing educational materials on WWB Campus and related digital platforms
- Proofreading curricular content, blog posts, newsletters, and social media materials for accuracy and consistency
- Maintaining and updating existing digital learning resources
- Researching and evaluating contextual resources for literary texts featured on WWB Campus
- Communicating with authors, translators, and contributors where necessary
- Writing educational content, including blog posts, reading guides, and lesson plans
- Supporting virtual and in-person educational events
- Assisting with additional tasks as assigned by the education programme team
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree is required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Excellent proofreading and editing abilities (preferred)
- At least one year of teaching experience at secondary or tertiary level (strongly preferred)
- Familiarity with the literature, language, or culture of at least one country outside the United States
- Demonstrated interest in international literature, translation, or global education
- Strong organisational, research, and writing skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines consistently
- Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively in a small team environment
- Proficiency in tools such as Content Management Systems (CMS), spreadsheet software, project management platforms (e.g., Trello), and design tools such as Canva (advantageous)
Benefits
- Hourly rate of $18
- Approximately 20 hours of work per week
