    Overview

    The Violence Prevention Specialist Consultancy at the World Health Organization offers a high-impact opportunity for experienced professionals working in child protection and global advocacy, focusing on strengthening global efforts to end violence against children.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Monitoring country commitments (pledges) to end violence against children
    • Strengthening advocacy and accountability systems
    • Supporting global coordination with governments, donors, and partners
    • Preparing for the Second Global Ministerial Conference on Ending Violence Against Children
    • Track implementation of national commitments and analyze data
    • Help design guidelines and reporting frameworks for new pledges
    • Mobilize governments, civil society, and international partners
    • Build strategic alliances to strengthen global advocacy

    Requirements

    • Advanced degree (Master’s or equivalent) in social policy, human rights, international development, or related fields
    • 7-10 years of professional experience in violence prevention or child protection
    • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
    • Ability to translate complex information into clear content
    • Expert-level English; other languages are an asset

    Benefits

    • Contract duration: 7 months (1 June – 31 December 2026)
