Overview

The World Trade Organization (WTO) Young Professionals Programme (YPP) for 2027 is a highly competitive one-year professional development opportunity aimed at developing future leaders in international trade policy and global economic governance.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Advanced university degree in a relevant field such as:
  • Economics or econometrics
  • International relations
  • Law (including international investment law)
  • Environmental studies
  • Trade-related disciplines (e.g., trade and gender, development studies)
• Minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in areas related to WTO work or international trade policy.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of French or Spanish is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of WTO functions and the multilateral trading system.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multicultural environments.
• Strong motivation and commitment to international trade development.
