SANEDI, a state-owned entity under the National Energy Act (Act 34 of 2008), is seeking a highly organized and proactive Administration Assistant for the Energy Efficiency LEAP Frogging Project.
Job Title: Administration Assistant: Energy Efficiency LEAP Frogging Project
Location: Sandton, South Africa
Closing Date: 9 July 2026
Contract: Fixed Term Contract – 3 years
Under the guidance of the Project Manager, the successful candidate will support project management, documentation, stakeholder liaison, and logistical coordination to ensure successful project implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Support Project Management
- Assist the Project Manager in daily project oversight and management activities.
- Contribute to the development of work plans, budgets, and implementation proposals.
- Prepare analyses and information for project reporting and communication.
- Support the preparation of project performance indicators, success criteria, and milestones.
- Facilitate project audits, assessments, and implement audit recommendations.
- Enter project data into Quantum system and support budget revisions.
- Assist in operational and organizational logistics for project activities.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation in both hard and electronic formats.
- Support knowledge building initiatives and facilitate knowledge sharing among stakeholders.
- Liaise with partners such as UNDP, DEE/SANEDI, and DBSA, as well as the Project Steering Committee.
Administrative and Logistical Support
- Organize meetings, workshops, and events, including travel arrangements.
- Manage project contracts and procurement processes.
- Support project reporting requirements and prepare relevant documentation.
Stakeholder Engagement and Coordination
- Engage with project partners and stakeholders to ensure smooth communication.
- Assist in analyzing project data, resolving operational issues, and developing solutions.
- Support the implementation of UNDP operational procedures and internal controls.
Qualifications and Experience
- A National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Environmental Management, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Energy Economics, Physics, or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience, preferably in biodiversity conservation, natural resource management, or sustainable livelihoods projects.
- Prior experience with UN or DBSA projects is an advantage.
Skills and Knowledge
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.
- Excellent command of English (written, spoken, reading) and proficiency in local languages.
- Ability to support project coordination, documentation, and stakeholder liaising effectively.
