Overview
This position as a Ward Supervisor offers you the opportunity to support a high-impact public health initiative in Northern Nigeria, focusing on strengthening immunization campaigns and Primary Health Care (PHC) systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of immunization campaigns and PHC interventions at the ward level.
- Supervise vaccination teams and field staff to ensure adherence to guidelines and high-quality service delivery.
- Monitor ongoing campaign activities and provide real-time feedback for continuous improvement.
- Assist in the training, mentorship, and performance tracking of vaccination teams and community health workers.
- Manage data collection processes, including validation, documentation, and timely reporting of campaign outcomes.
- Ensure proper use of data tools and contribute to evidence-based decision-making.
- Identify operational gaps or field-level challenges and support the development of practical solutions.
- Engage with local stakeholders, community leaders, and health authorities to strengthen collaboration and trust.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed reports on program performance and impact.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or HND in Public Health, Health Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience supporting immunization campaigns, PHC programs, or community-based health interventions.
- Demonstrated experience in field supervision, team coordination, and monitoring of program activities.
- Strong data management skills, including the ability to collect, analyze, and report data effectively.
- Proficiency in using digital tools for reporting and documentation is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in field environments.
